Kentucky Down Under & Kentucky Caverns

The last Saturday of October, Rick and Gerrick enjoyed a day trip to Kentucky Down Under.

They observed animals native to Australia:

Tawny Frogmouth

Red Lory

Umbrella Cockatoo

Galah

Sulpher-Crested Cockatoo

Rainbow Lorikeet

Papuan Frogmouth

Zebra Finch

Laughing Kookaburra

Dingo

Red Kangaroo

Grey Kangaroo

Baby Red Kangaroo

While at the park, they also toured Kentucky Caverns.

They had a great time together
(and are glad I finally got around to posting their pics!).

  1. What an amazing trip. :) My favorite animal as a girl was the kangaroo. :) I once was able to hold two babies! :)

I have also been dying to take the boys to some caverns. Elijah hasn't been since he was around 2-3 years old.

  2. Hanging out in a cave, how cool is that for a kid! We have several here in Virginia and a even a few natural hot springs that I've been wanting to try for years.
