Solids, Liquids, and Gases (BFSU A-2)


This week with BFSU, we took an introductory look at the three main states of matter.

Day 1 

He read...


It was the first activity placed in the science notebook he requested.



Day 2

I read aloud...


 We heated ice cubes and watched them turn from solid, to liquid, to gas, and back to a liquid.
This is so simple, but he really enjoyed it and used several cups of ice.




Later in the day, we watched and discussed
Bill Nye the Science Guy:  Matter.
Then he watched it again!


Next week:  Air is a Substance

  1. I love this! Hunter would love this too! I think that next year or the next (:)) we will do this program. Right now, I'll just let him take the community homeschool classes and complete the home projects that they send!

  2. Looks like a great time of fun learning! Love his glasses...now my Simon wants glasses like him. :) (Apparently the ones Simon picked out aren't cool enough anymore!) We love those Bill Nye videos. He's simply awesome.
