Weekly Reading #3

Independent reading
(Things I noticed him perusing.)

Read Aloud to Mama
(Right now I am asking him to read one book to me 4-5 days/week;
anything beyond that is his choice.)

(I am not encouraging this program right now because I prefer he read actual books at this stage.  However, since we have it and we loved Headsprout Early Reading so much, I am allowing him to complete these lessons if/when/as he asks.)

Read aloud by Mama

Readings from Ambleside Online Year 1, weeks 21-22.

Started (again, per his request)...

Favorite of the bedtime books read by Daddy

Gerrick loved this book so much that he had Rick read it twice this week!
I must remember to read it myself soon and look for more books by Randall Jarrell.
Have you read any of his children's books?

(All book images are linked for your convenience; I am not an Amazon Affiliate.)

  1. I've never read anything by Randall Jarrell. We're reading "Little House in the Big Woods" right now, too!

  2. I don't believe I have read any of his books. I'll look for him next time I'm at the library! We read so much this week that I'm itching to play along! Maybe I'll do just that!

  3. Also, how is G enjoying the Jungle Book Easy Readers? You may remember that we have read the Tom Sawyer books from that brand (?) and we really liked them. I wish our library had more of these books.

  4. Kiddo loves to read Ranger Rick, too. And I think my husband would love the Spider-man Pop up book.

    Seriously.

  5. I forgot about the Danny and the Dinosaur books. Wonder if my daughter would enjoy reading them to me?
