We happened upon another creek. When the kiddos seemed to be getting a bit tired I offered paints and they took them with glee.
We spent a good deal of time at the playground, and then bike and scooter riding closed out a perfect outdoor play date.
Play along with us during the month of April for Children and Nature Awareness Month by posting a picture of your child(ren) each day enjoying the outdoors. (You can join in anytime!) Share your link at 5 Orange Potatoes and see what others are doing. Also, be sure to check out the virtual Family Nature Club over at Ordinary Life Magic (Too.).
Love the painting by the creek. Perfect "downtime" activity.

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet you Sherry! Thanks for stopping by my blog! We try to get outdoors every day, but I've never taken along a sketch pad. I'd love to try this. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI just happened upon your blog and fell in love with the pictures of your kids enjoying the outdoors. We had such a fun spring playing outside! As summer approaches, our outdoor romps will just have to be in the early hours of the morning...
