Christmas Eve 2009

Gerrick is super excited that thanks to his uncle and aunt, he now has a 3rd Playmobil ship--the ghost pirate ship. Let the sea battles commence!

White Chocolate Popcorn

Remember the white chocolate popcorn that Gerrick and I sampled at Christmas Village last month? I decided to try to make some tonight using this recipe. Turns out it was super easy and just as delicious as the expensive stuff. You've got to try it!

2009 Christmas Ornaments

Tearing packaging foam into tiny pieces for the snow in this ornament was a big hit. We used acrylic paint on Gerrick's fingers for the snowmen, and he chose to use Sharpies for the details.


To decorate this ornament we added a few drops of several colors acrylic paint and water and swished it all around.


This wired star was a bit more challenging for Gerrick than I expected, but with a lot of help from me, it turned out fine and we were both happy with the end results.


We basically followed these directions for this ornament but added a third pipe cleaner. Gerrick worked on this one over several days, and it's his favorite.


This little elf was carved by Rick (the daddy).

A Beautiful Day

It's 65 degrees here in middle Tennessee, so of course, we've spent the whole day outside!









Now we're headed out to explore the woods; hope you're having a great day, too.

Nature Walk--12/11

We finally went outside! We've had a long ten days of flu. The fresh air was wonderful, but now we've crashed on the couch again. Will our energy ever return?
