Unwrapping gifts...

More ghost pirates...
Exploring the pyramid...

Painting dragons...

Playing the whole day long...
And even something for me to fill that big empty wall over our kitchen cabinets...
(Of course, I ordered it myself.) I'm really happy with my kitchen makeover...

Hope you're having a fabulous Christmas!
Looks like he had a great day! And I love the piece you put in your kitchen! So neat!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, that art looks great in the kitchen. What a wonderful day you've had. Miss you, love you! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! What a fun day you all had. That pyramid is so cool! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen piece you got is awesome! I love it! It changes the whole look of the kitchen...niiiice!
One more thing...does your kitchen always look that clean and orderly?
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys. :)
ReplyDeleteShady Lady,
I ended up buying the pyramid new on eBay (for WAY too much!) Then wouldn't you know, playmobil, who stated on the invoice that they canceled that part of my order due to lack of inventory, sent me another one 2-days before Christmas! I am furious. The invoice DID NOT say it would ship later; it said it was CANCELED! I am so mad, I may never order anything direct from them again. Now I get to deal with returning it...ugh.
To answer your second question, of course not--only on major holidays and when I know I'm having company. ;) Of course in these photos you can't see my sink which is overflowing with dishes. hehe ;)
Whew! You had me worried and feeling all inferior there for a minute. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope Playmobil doesn't give you a hard time about returning it. I would be furious, too!!
Hey! -
ReplyDeleteWhere's the wrapping paper?
The pistachio shells?
The bits of smashed candycanes? The broken chocolates, the tiny bits of papers and crumbs, the cracked halves sharp walnuts and peanuts, the chocolate foils, the cut pieces of packaging plastic, the torn cardboard... the empty packages of the pretend fruit thingies?
:)
I love that playmobile thing. sigh. I've wanted it since I saw it come out. Too bad my children don't.
I love the pyramid. I haven't seen that one before. Looks like you had a really great Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Diane
um, hi, your kitchen is fabulous :o) and it looks like you had a fun filled day..Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo! That pyramid is so cool. I LOVE your kitchen! The art looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, laughing about the business you are getting from Steph and Shady about the cleanliness. I have a feeling you are more of a neat and tidy person than you're letting on........ ;)
That's frustrating about playmobil, I'd be furious as well.
Happy holidays!
lisa
I admit it--living amongst clutter just doesn't coincide with my mental well-being. ;)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! My 4 yr old had that pyramid on his Christmas list, but it was too steep a price for us this year....it looks like he had a great Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI knew it! Returning to my inferiority complex now... ;)
ReplyDeleteSherry's house is immaculate. But I am not teasing because mine would be too if I lived in a nice big house and only had one child. So, yet another reason why she and I are kindred spirits! I am not intimidated by her home... I just feel comfortable there. Can't stand clutter and filth. Blech!
ReplyDeleteShady & Steph, I know you are just kidding...uh, right? :)
ReplyDeleteMandy, I'm glad you are comfortable in my home. You are always welcome and should come more often!
Sadie, just another 1-kid advantage. If I had 4 boys I'd have to hide the playmobil catalogs and tell them they shut down their website. ;)
Shona Leah, I keep thinking eventually we'll run into each other somewhere around town & finally meet. :) If it doesn't happen soon we'll have to arrange something.
Sort of. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere was a time that I had a home that was more than 700 sq. ft. bigger than where we are now. Back then I had a place for everything and everything was in it's place...even with a new baby and even when she was a toddler.
Now that we are in this smaller house, I don't have a place for everything. Heck, I don't have a place for a lot of things. So there are a lot of things out of place. My house is a cluttered mess almost always and it does drive me crazy. For the record, I am not a pack rat.
All in good time...we will have a house that fits us better.
When Gerrick was born we lived in 850 sq. feet. Eventually we moved to an apartment a little bigger than that and then another. Now with a little over a thousand more sq. ft. than we started, I do feel like I'm in heaven and am very, very grateful.
ReplyDeleteHow did we get on this subject? Oh yes, the stupid kitchen pictures. ;) I'm never posting decorating/house pictures on this blog again! Off topic! ;)
But your kitchen is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteMy son got that pyramid too, and he loves it.
ReplyDeleteThat art looks great above the cabinets. I love that your counters don't seem to have anything on them! Do you keep everything in cabinets? It just looks so nice that way. Our counters have a coffee maker, toaster oven, and a bunch of other stuff on them.
I'm glad you had a nice Christmas. Happy New Year!
Thanks, Christy. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can see the toaster oven in the pic. My coffee pot is to the left of the sink, and the crock pot, knife block, and paper towel holder are in the corner of that counter and the one with the stove. I keep my big and small blenders, waffle iron, etc., in a cabinet. I used to keep the toaster oven in the pantry, but got tired of taking it in & out seemingly constantly. :) I used to have absolutely zero counter space, so now that I can I'm a bit obsessed with keeping as much clear as possible. ;)
I didn't notice the toaster oven the first time. Well, I love your clear counters! They look beautiful. I'm trying to be like you!
ReplyDeleteHave you done any other decorating? If so, would you show it? I'm always looking for new ideas. :)
ReplyDeleteI had to come back to see your snowman that you wrote about in your comment on Mandy's blog. It reminds me of my childhood. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteThat pyramid is AWESOME! And I love your kitchen.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Okay, the plate art, I saw that SOMEWHERE, and I want it so bad!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Christmas. :)
I ordered mine from Bed, Bath, & Beyond.
