Our New Lake Spot

We just discovered a park at the local lake, less than two miles from our house!

We were there for about three hours this afternoon--'til it got dark. Gerrick spent most of the time building and playing in a fort...

...while I enjoyed my library book.

On the walk to the car he said, "This is a great place to relax," and I had to agree.

  5. Wendy,
I'm assuming they're fish vertebrae. They're now, of course, in my living room on the nature shelf. :)

  6. What a good day. I look forward to those days soon, myself. Enjoying a book in the afternoon...by the lake...while the child/ren occupy themselves. What a beautiful spot. And his comment? Priceless. I enjoyed your post this morning.
