We were there for about three hours this afternoon--'til it got dark. Gerrick spent most of the time building and playing in a fort...

...while I enjoyed my library book.
On the walk to the car he said, "This is a great place to relax," and I had to agree.
That's awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! What an excellent fort!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great spot to spend an afternoon.
ReplyDeleteSweet! :)
ReplyDeleteYou found so many great things there! What were the bones from - do you know?
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your photographs. The last one is my fave. :-)
ReplyDeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming they're fish vertebrae. They're now, of course, in my living room on the nature shelf. :)
What a good day. I look forward to those days soon, myself. Enjoying a book in the afternoon...by the lake...while the child/ren occupy themselves. What a beautiful spot. And his comment? Priceless. I enjoyed your post this morning.

ReplyDeleteOm my we're so jealous! We like especially the bones. And the shots - what camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteCanon PowerShot A2000 IS--a simple little point-and-shoot. :)
ReplyDeleteYou take such beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe went to our pond yesterday, I pull out my camera and it says "no SD card inserted." I am glad the kids didn't hear my reaction! You guys find the coolest stuff on your adventures.
