Homeschooled kids think so differently. Sitting under the bench, seeing the frog...I just love that. We homeschool too and I am constantly blessed by the things they say and see.
Dandelion bush, how cute. I would have thought that too at his age. Oh, after your visit to the the Pow-Wow, we're gonna go this weekend. It'll tie in perfectly with some books on Thanksgiving. Coolest thing- living here in Va...we'll actually have tribes there whose ancestors were at the Jamestown landing.
Love this post. And again, my friend, your photos are magnificent. I better gallivant your way so that I can visit this park. :) Making more positive memories.
I love this....I loved that first thought "every child will draw...". It's so true. My boys are not crafty and resist drawing. I always try to encourage them and tell them that there is no wrong way to draw.
What a fabulous day you must have had. Your son is adorable.
I'm Sherry Gann, and this is where I share glimpses of my (currently 9yo) son's adventures. Our family of three enjoys a relaxed learning lifestyle, and though we're committed to no specific method, we are inspired by Charlotte Mason and project-based homeschooling. Our goal is simple: to grow as lifelong learners while living peaceful, joyful, healthy lives.
Look at the leaves on that tree, gorgeous. I love that he chose to lie under the bench, great thinking and that frog, how sweet...
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Sheri. Truly.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Garrick under the bench was so, so sweet. I loved it.
You never know where a frog may be hiding! Beautiful nature walk. :)
