Burnice & Linda are leaving our church to answer a new calling. We will miss them! Tonight there was a farewell gathering held in their honor. During all the talking, Gerrick walked around and took pictures. This was the first time he had even held my camera, but I thought this was as good a time as any for some authentic learning in the art of photography. He had a great time and got some really good & original shots, including the ones above of Burnice & Linda. The slide show at the bottom of this post presents 50 of the best (yes, he filled the whole memory card!). I love that he not only took pictures of people, but that he thought to take a shot of the money tree, a poster on the wall, a little toy he saw sitting on a table, someone's shoe, an exit sign, the vacuum cleaner...:)
